The Cannondale Quick CX EQ Hybrid Bike is an urban-adventure bike for cities and town pathways, open countryside and everything else. It has been designed to be easy to store and park. The stem rotates 90 degrees and the pedals flip up in just a few seconds making it easy to store or transport your bike.

The Quick CX is built around one of Cannondale’s Smartform C3 Aluminium frames. Cannondale were one of the pioneers of aluminium bikes and they still have some of the best tech and know-how including their SAVE micro suspension system. This builds small areas of flex into the frame to smooth out your ride without any moving parts. At the front of the bike you get a short travel suspension fork ideal for potholes or bumpy cycle paths.

This is a Equipped version of the Quick so it comes ready fitted with mudguards, a pannier rack and lights. Powered by the movement of the bike, dynamo lights never need charging, never run out, and will never leave you in the dark.

This bike is perfect for

Riding in town, Leisurely weekend rides, On crowded streets, for people with small flats or limited storage space.

Why buy a hybrid bike?

Hybrids are the bikes that most people should have. If you want a bike for commuting, going to the shops, getting fit or just for getting around a hybrid is generally the best choice. They combine the speed of a road racing bike with the confident handling of a mountain bike to give you the best of both worlds.

Where are you going to ride?

The first point to think about when picking a hybrid is the kind of surfaces you will be riding on. There are two main flavours of hybrid bike. Some, like the Trek FX, Specialized Sirrus and Cannondale Quick are mainly intended for use on the road. They have bigger gears and skinnier tyres so that they are fast on tarmac. Other bikes like the Trek Dual Sport, Specialized Sirrus X or Cannondale Quick CX are designed to be used on a mixture of surfaces including tracks and gravel paths. They have bigger, grippier tyres and often come with easier gears and some suspension to soak up bumps.

Cannondale are not keen on rules. Cannondale think outside the box and it has led to some of the most innovative bikes ever made. They were one of the pioneers of aluminium and carbon bike frames and were one of the first brand to introduce these materials into both professional racing and production bikes. Leading to their famous 'Legalize My Cannondale' ad campaigns after their innovations took their bikes below the official weight limit for pro racing.

Cannondale have led the development of technology in mountain bike suspension for years and have unique suspension designs, such as the Lefty, which only they use. Cannondale‘s commitment to innovation means they do things their own way. When you buy a Cannondale bike you will be getting something a little bit special and different from everyone else.

Cannondale have won awards for the 2020 CAAD13 and SuperSix Evo Road Bikes. Despite the alloy frame, the CAAD13 competes with a carbon road bike on every level but the price. SuperSix EVO is an evolution of Cannondale’s classic race machine. Adding more aero profiling, and a system integrated design to reduce drag.
