The 2022 Orbea Laufey H10 Hardtail Mountain Bike is Orbea’s most versatile mountain bike. It has the speed of a light 29” wheel hardtail with the handling of a trail focused 140mm long travel bike. The Laufey can be used for all kinds of trail riding.
Many long travel hardtails come with a 27.5” wheel whereas the Laufey uses a 29” wheel for greater speed on long fast rides over varied terrain. The trail geometry includes a slacker head angle for great stability on steep downhills, longer wheelbase for stability at speed and lower bottom bracket for better cornering.
The Laufey is built around a hydroformed aluminium frame. The hydroformed tubing allows the shapes and wall thickness of aluminium tubing to be manipulated for strength and to remove unwanted flex while saving weight. The chainstay yoke is forged and then CNC finished to give maximum clearance and rigidity. The Laufey is designed to see a lot of action. While keeping the frame light the bike is designed to be durable and ridden hard.
The Laufey H10 comes with a 140mm travel Marzocchi Bomber Z2 fork, and a 1 x 12 speed groupset using a mix of Deore and SLX parts. Tubeless ready wheels, Maxxis tyres and a dropper seat post round out a really great value build.
