The Turbo Como Super Light (SL) is designed for running around town and beyond. Able to carry twice its weight in cargo its a surprising errand bike thats as exciting to ride as it is easy to own.

This system protects your bikes working gears from the weather and road grime extends their life up to four times that of a derailleur/chain drive and eliminates chain grease completely. Best of all you can shift gears anytime yes even when stopped take that traffic lights.

The Turbo Como Super Lights sophisticated design is ready to go whenever you are day and night rain or shine with battery-powered integrated lights fenders and plenty of storage capability. The 320Wh battery is securely hidden in the downtube making it almost indistinguishable from a regular bike at first glance. But on days when you want to do more attach the optional Range Extender to ride up to 93 miles without needing to recharge. Trust us when we say youll find yourself making up errands just so you can ride it again.

Electric bike updates can help to improve battery life, tweak how the motor works and fix bugs and problems. Most systems will require you to plug your bike into some specialist software at an authorised dealer. What is Specialized Mission Control?

Mission Control is a free app created by Specialized to work with their Turbo electric bikes. The app is exclusive to Specialized and unlocks a lot of features which you can’t get on other electric bike systems. Specialized recommend that everyone who has one of their electric bikes should pair it to Mission Control.

Mission control has been around for a few years and has gradually been evolving and improving. It covers four main areas:


  1. Track your rides – record speed, distance, maps etc
  2. Tune your ride – adjust max power, acceleration and other settings
  3. Manage your ride – make sure you don’t run out of power
  4. Fix your ride – get notified of errors and access diagnostics, including suggested fixes

Electric Bike Motors Explained

Electric Bike Hub Motors vs Mid-Drive Motors

Electric bikes tend to either come with a hub motor or a mid-drive motor. Mid-drive motors sit where the cranks and bottom bracket are on a bike and drive the cranks and chain around. Hub drive motors sit in the middle of the wheel and drive the wheel directly. Hub drive electric bikes are cheaper but less efficient, and less smooth, to ride.
