The 2022 Whyte E-180 S V3 Electric Mountain Bike in Matt Moss is a rider-focussed full-gas, self-shuttling Enduro bike. The E-180 is an exceptionally capable, fast and dynamic 180mm travel Enduro-focussed mountain bike, able to get you down the toughest lines in record time - and back to the top to do it all again and again.
Uncompromised Whyte OTO geometry combined with an ultra-low centre of gravity means outstanding handling, balance and control. A complete eSystem from Bosch means reliability and unbeatable backup. Whyte’s “slide in” battery fitment means maximum structural integrity for minimum weight and torsional rigidity.
The high-torque 85Nm Bosch Performance Line CX motor is super-compact with exceptionally smooth power delivery which simulates normal pedalling, and range anxiety shouldn’t be an issue with a powerful 625Wh battery as standard.
The E-180 S is full-gas fun, built for the toughest trails. The E-180 S combines RockShox ZEB fork with a Super Deluxe rear shock, a 12 speed SRAM Eagle groupset and powerful Code R brakes.

Electric Bike Hub Motors vs Mid-Drive Motors
Electric bikes tend to either come with a hub motor or a mid-drive motor. Mid-drive motors sit where the cranks and bottom bracket are on a bike and drive the cranks and chain around. Hub drive motors sit in the middle of the wheel and drive the wheel directly. Hub drive electric bikes are cheaper but less efficient, and less smooth, to ride.
