The E-Bike Mega HB StVZO E2000 is an advanced StVZO-certified e-bike cycling front light delivering 2000 lumens of max output. This light is housed in a die-cast and CNC-Machined Aluminium body with extruded cooling fins ensuring durability, efficient heat dissipation, and an advanced computerized thermal management chip to maximize lumen output efficiency. The Orbis StVZO E600 offers Daytime Running Light mode as well as an intelligent ‘Thermal Protection Safety Feature’ which automatically reduces light output for safety and efficiency. Rigorously tested to IPX7 Waterproofing standards, it is built to withstand various weather conditions.

Cutting-edge programming gives this light an innovative high beam/low beam system controlled by a remote switch that lets the user easily toggle between two modes—600 lumens StVZO or 2000 lumen high beam—via an illuminated handlebar-mounted button. It has an integrated 130 cm (51.2 inches) cable connecting to the e-bike’s motor/battery system. The BES3 BOSCH connector and CNC Machined Aluminium E-bike Mega Mount are included. E-Bike compatibility: 10.5 – 13.5V input, 8.5W Low Beam / 16W High Beam.

Lezyne e-bike lights are powered by the motor/battery of an e-bike and need to be manually installed. Proper installation may require some disassembly of the bike and motor (depending on make and model, battery type) and additional wiring to connect the light to the motor. It is highly recommended to have a trained e-bike professional install your lights for you.

Bike Lights - How Many Lumen Do You Need?

Bike lights are rated in Lumens. A Lumen is the measurement of the total visible light emitted and is commonly used for all kinds of bulbs.

One thing worth noting is that most lights advertise their headline rate. Packaging may say 1000 lumens. Reading the small print they might only do that for an hour. That light may run 500 or 600 lumens for 2 or 3 hours. So it's worth buying a light with more lumens than you need to get decent running times.

There is no fixed agreement on how many Lumens you need for a bike light as it depends on the type of cycling you are doing. As a rough guide we say that:

  • Daytime running lights = 100+ Lumens
  • Urban commuting lights = 50 to 200 Lumens
  • Rural riding lights = 400 to 600 Lumens
  • Trail riding lights = 600+ Lumens
