The 2023 Trek FX 3 Disc Equipped Stagger Hybrid Bike is a stylish hybrid bike that comes with all the accessories you need to get out and ride more. It has a lightweight frame with a classic step-through geometry that's easier to mount and dismount, loads of included extras, powerful disc brakes and a performance 1x drivetrain for speed and confidence whether you're working out or running errands.

The FX 3 Disc is built around a lightweight aluminium frame with as sporty but upright riding position for a fast but comfortable ride. The unisex step-through frame geometry makes it easier to get on an off the bike, especially if you have loaded panniers or a child seat attached. The carbon fibre fork makes the bike even lighter and helps to soak up more bumps for a comfier ride.

The FX 3 Disc has hydraulic disc brakes for all-weather stopping power and a simple mountain bike style 1x drivetrain that ditches the front derailleur for less clutter and easier operation. Don't worry, with the wide-range 11-46 cassette still gives you all the gears you need to conquer hills. Plus, it's decked out with ride ready accessories, puncture-resistant tyres, mudguards, a pannier rack, kickstand and lights.

Why buy a hybrid bike?

Hybrids are the bikes that most people should have. If you want a bike for commuting, going to the shops, getting fit or just for getting around a hybrid is generally the best choice. They combine the speed of a road racing bike with the confident handling of a mountain bike to give you the best of both worlds.

Where are you going to ride?

The first point to think about when picking a hybrid is the kind of surfaces you will be riding on. There are two main flavours of hybrid bike. Some, like the Trek FX, Specialized Sirrus and Cannondale Quick are mainly intended for use on the road. They have bigger gears and skinnier tyres so that they are fast on tarmac. Other bikes like the Trek Dual Sport, Specialized Sirrus X or Cannondale Quick CX are designed to be used on a mixture of surfaces including tracks and gravel paths. They have bigger, grippier tyres and often come with easier gears and some suspension to soak up bumps.
