ITS ALL ABOUT THE RIDE When everything works just right a bike disappears when you ride it. So we stripped away the mass to keep the Levo SL lean taut and responsive. We built it tough enough to withstand heavy abuse but light enough to nail big moves and plush enough to rail the chunkiest lines with total confidence. Its dialed geometry kinematics and shock tuning leave nothing desired. We thought of everything so you dont need to think about anything.
THE FRAME OF REFERENCE Everything starts here. Lively precise ride feel. Strategic carbon fiber layup provides super-responsive chassis stiffness. Incredible strength to weight. We tuned the entire chassis front end rear end and the link that unifies them as a single unit to minimize lateral flex under pedaling to harness every bit of pedal force.
GEOMETRY OF CONTROL The generous cockpit centers you in the bike optimizing traction and corner control. The low bottom bracket slack headtube angle and reduced fork offset keep things stable in the rough while giving you the freedom to destroy the turns float through them or nail the inside lines. The head angle can be personalized in three setting 63 degrees 64.25 degrees and 65.5 degrees.

The lightweight motor and battery are built cleanly into the bike as part of an overarching integrated design philosophy. MIXED WHEEL A 29 front wheel ensures stability and surefooted performance in the most hectic terrain while a 27.5 rear wheel allows for a compact chainstay and super responsive behavior. If you prefer the rolling and traction benefits of a 29 rear wheel just flip the pivot link chip and mount the big wheel. Your geometry will remain exactly the same except the chainstay length increase to accommodate the 29 wheel.

What is Specialized Mission Control?
Mission Control is a free app created by Specialized to work with their Turbo electric bikes. The app is exclusive to Specialized and unlocks a lot of features which you can’t get on other electric bike systems. Specialized recommend that everyone who has one of their electric bikes should pair it to Mission Control.
Mission control has been around for a few years and has gradually been evolving and improving. It covers four main areas:
- Track your rides – record speed, distance, maps etc
- Tune your ride – adjust max power, acceleration and other settings
- Manage your ride – make sure you don’t run out of power
- Fix your ride – get notified of errors and access diagnostics, including suggested fixes

Electric Bike Motors Explained
Electric bikes have really come into their own in the last couple of years. Thanks to advances in electric bike motors and batteries. A couple of bike manufacturers, most notably Specialized, are making their own electric bike motors. The vast majority of bike companies are using the same motors. So, you will find exactly the same electric motor being used on bikes from different brands and at different price points. Electric Bike Hub Motors vs Mid-Drive Motors
Electric bikes tend to either come with a hub motor or a mid-drive motor. Mid-drive motors sit where the cranks and bottom bracket are on a bike and drive the cranks and chain around. Hub drive motors sit in the middle of the wheel and drive the wheel directly. Hub drive electric bikes are cheaper but less efficient, and less smooth, to ride.
