The 2022 Cannondale Topstone 3 Gravel Bike is the second bike in the Topstone range. The Topstone has been one of our best-selling gravel bikes for the last 3 years as they are great value for money and super versatile. For 2022 the Topstone has undergone a major update with a new frame and fork to make the bike more comfortable on longer rides.
The aluminium Topstone is built around a SmartForm C2 frame which uses Cannondale’s OutFront Steering Geometry. This is an extra-long fork offset paired with a slack head angle which keeps the steering light and lively, yet delivers confidence at speed. The new full carbon fork is light, comfortable and precise. It also features three mount bosses on each leg for maximizing cargo capacity. The frame and fork can both take up to 45c wide tyres
The Topstone 3 comes with a 2x9 speed Shimano Claris groupset and Promax mechanical disc brakes. The 2x9 Claris setup give slightly bigger gearing than the 1x10 speed setup on the Topstone 4, making the Topstone 3 better for long road sections. Multiple bottle, rack and bag mounts, plus a removable mudguard adaptor make the Topstone 3 easy to configure for long bikepacking trips or daily commutes.
