The Cateye AMPP 100 Rechargeable Front Cycle Light is a great value entry level front light. It gives out 100 lumen which is enough to get you seen by other road users.
The all new Ampp 100 is lightweight, compact and powerful bicycle light and with the new Ampp body design and improved side visibility over the old Volt 100. The new Ampp 100 is the perfect choice for riding in towns, cities and urban environments to ensure you're safely seen by other road users. Perfect as a daytime safety light or as a backup on long journeys. The new and improved rubber strap/mount with its 360 degree rotation allows the light to be placed in a variety of positions.

Bike Lights - How Many Lumen Do You Need?
Bike lights are rated in Lumens. A Lumen is the measurement of the total visible light emitted and is commonly used for all kinds of bulbs.
One thing worth noting is that most lights advertise their headline rate. Packaging may say 1000 lumens. Reading the small print they might only do that for an hour. That light may run 500 or 600 lumens for 2 or 3 hours. So it's worth buying a light with more lumens than you need to get decent running times.
