The 2024 Trek FX Sport 4 Hybrid Bike is a carbon bike for riders who want the speed of a lightweight road bike with the comfort and control of a flat handlebar. The 1x drivetrain simplifies shifting without sacrificing gear range, making this high-performance bike perfect for everything from solo workouts to speedy group rides.

The FX Sport is built around a lightweight 400 Series OCLV Carbon frame with a carbon fork. This not only makes the bike extremely light but also makes it more comfortable as the carbon fibre helps to soak up bumps and vibrations from the road.

The FX Sport 4 comes with a Shimano Deore 1x drivetrain with a wide-range cassette, Shimano hydraulic disc brakes for all-weather stopping power, a lightweight tubeless ready wheel set, wide, fast-rolling Bontrager GR1 Expert gravel tyres and a vibration-absorbing handlebar and ergonomic grips.

This bike is perfect for

Riders who want road bike weight and speed with the comfort of a hybrid bike. With mountain bike gearing and gravel tyres the FX Sport 4 is fast on the road but can also handle light trails.

Key Features

  • The 1x drivetrain delivers a wide range of gearing with the simplicity of a single shifter
  • You get the superior ride quality of carbon without the bank-breaking price
  • On your left, roadie! This fitness bike is more than capable of taking on speedy group road rides
  • It's easy to accessorise with mudguards, lights and more!

Why buy a hybrid bike?

Hybrids are the bikes that most people should have. If you want a bike for commuting, going to the shops, getting fit or just for getting around a hybrid is generally the best choice. They combine the speed of a road racing bike with the confident handling of a mountain bike to give you the best of both worlds.

Where are you going to ride?

The first point to think about when picking a hybrid is the kind of surfaces you will be riding on. There are two main flavours of hybrid bike. Some, like the Trek FX, Specialized Sirrus and Cannondale Quick are mainly intended for use on the road. They have bigger gears and skinnier tyres so that they are fast on tarmac. Other bikes like the Trek Dual Sport, Specialized Sirrus X or Cannondale Quick CX are designed to be used on a mixture of surfaces including tracks and gravel paths. They have bigger, grippier tyres and often come with easier gears and some suspension to soak up bumps.
