The 2025 Specialized Turbo Levo SL Comp Carbon Full Suspension Electric Mountain Bike is lean and responsive. It’s tough enough to withstand heavy abuse, but light enough to flick through a rock garden. Its dialled geometry, kinematics, and shock tuning work together as one to deliver control, confidence and precision.

Patent-pending GENIE technology is the ultimate air spring. Using the same tech as found on many of the latest Stumpjumper bikes it combines the control-enhancing linear spring rate of a coil spring through the “bump zone” with the progressive spring rate of an air spring at the end of the stroke to avoid bottom-outs. The Levo SL geometry delivers an exceptional ride right out of the box, combining big-bike capability with a nimble feel in tight sections. A refined reach centres you on the bike for optimal traction and cornering, while the low bottom bracket, slack head angle, and optimized fork offset ensure stability on rough terrain. Riders who want to can easily personalize the six-way adjustable geometry to match their style and terrain.

The Levo SL Comp Carbon comes with a Specialized SL 1.2 motor. It delivers 43% more torque (50Nm) and 33% more power (320 Watts) than its predecessor. Thanks to its unmatched efficiency, nothing beats its range-to-weight ratio. Paired with a seamless 320Wh battery pack, the Levo SL ensures supernatural amplification for up to 5 hours in Eco Mode. Extend your ride with a 160Wh Range Extender (sold separately), fitting snugly into your bottle cage for an extra 50% range.

This bike is perfect for

Mountain bikers who want the feel of the latest generation acoustic trail bikes with the added support of a lightweight electric motor to extend rides.

What is Specialized Mission Control?

Mission Control is a free app created by Specialized to work with their Turbo electric bikes. The app is exclusive to Specialized and unlocks a lot of features which you can’t get on other electric bike systems. Specialized recommend that everyone who has one of their electric bikes should pair it to Mission Control.

Mission control has been around for a few years and has gradually been evolving and improving. It covers four main areas:

  1. Track your rides – record speed, distance, maps etc
  2. Tune your ride – adjust max power, acceleration and other settings
  3. Manage your ride – make sure you don’t run out of power
  4. Fix your ride – get notified of errors and access diagnostics, including suggested fixes

Electric Bike Motors Explained

Electric bikes have really come into their own in the last couple of years. Thanks to advances in electric bike motors and batteries. A couple of bike manufacturers, most notably Specialized, are making their own electric bike motors. The vast majority of bike companies are using the same motors. So, you will find exactly the same electric motor being used on bikes from different brands and at different price points. In this guide, we’ll take you through the main types of electric bike motors. Look at the differences between the most commonly used brands.

Electric Bike Hub Motors vs Mid-Drive Motors

Electric bikes tend to either come with a hub motor or a mid-drive motor. Mid-drive motors sit where the cranks and bottom bracket are on a bike and drive the cranks and chain around. Hub drive motors sit in the middle of the wheel and drive the wheel directly. Hub drive electric bikes are cheaper but less efficient, and less smooth, to ride.

Who are Specialized?

Specialized is one of the best-known quality bike brands in the world. Started by a group of riders in 1974. A fact which has guided their decision making ever since.

" Made for riders, by riders."

They strove to make the best quality tires when quality tyres weren't around. When people wanted to ride cruisers in the dirt, they made the first production mountain bike. When roadies wanted to go faster, Specialized doubled down on carbon and built their own wind tunnel.

Bikes like the Allez, Rockhopper and Stumpjumper have developed followings and reputations of their own. Specialized has a reputation for making high-end, high-quality bikes. Specialized bikes always look great with high-quality paint and sensible sizing hel0s you get the right bike each time. If you buy a Specialized bike you can be guaranteed it will do what it is supposed to and will last.
