The Moda Bolero Special Edition Winter Bike

The British brand Moda have now introduced a special edition of the Bolero Road Bike, with a full SRAM Apex groupset! The Bolero is the sister bike to the Moda Rubato but with two years of adoration the Bolero is just as exciting as ever! Built on a double butted 7005 aluminium frame offer lightness and paired with a high modulus carbon fork leaves you a bike that is nimble, responsive and strong for everyday riding! To be used as a year round commuter, trainer or for Audax rides the Bolero offers a good balance between comfort and sport!

Front and rear mudguards offer great protection against spray and road debris which is perfect for riding, and for riding longer, in the wet and dirtier months. Not all road bikes allow you to install mudguards therefore, the Bolero gives you great confidence should you be caught out in the weather. You can remove the mudguards should you wish to put the bike through its paces on the warmer days!

With its 700c wheel size, the Aero Alloy Rims provide lightness and are smoothly constructed increasing aerodynamics and also gives the caliper brakes a smoother surface to brush against, reducing brake vibration. The Kenda K177 (700c x 23c) tyres offer good all year round tread, which saves the need for changing tyres depending on the season, for the most serious roadie you can of course swap to slicks!

Upgraded with a SRAM Apex chainset provides a smooth drive and efficient pedalling while the SRAM PG-1050 cassette gives you brilliant ratios to power the flats to tackling the climbs. 20 speeds are at your disposal allowing you to adapt your style of riding depending on mood, road surface, weather conditions and traffic!

“The Bolero delivers an extremely comfortable ride, the frame and fork doing a great job of smoothing out road buzz. The result is a bike that would be great as a year-round commuter, training bike or audax option, even having mudguards for those events that insist on them. It would also make an excellent sportive bike, that combination of high comfort levels, lightweight wheels and decent tyres being a winning one where long-distance, fast riding is concerned. Getting all this for under a grand makes the Bolero a bit of a bargain.” - Cycling Plus

“At this price, there are not many bikes that you could envisage being the basis for such a long-term relationship" - Cycling Weekly

For under a grand, the Bolero is a bit of a bargain. Great as a year-round commuter, trainer or audax option" - Cycling Plus

Moda Bikes - UK Born Bikes

Since our very first range of just 10 bikes back in 2009, the basic core principles of Moda haven’t changed – offer a range of high quality bicycles designed, tested and assembled in the UK.

Nearly six years on and those principles are the same now as they were then. Every model in our range is crafted by a small but more importantly passionate team of cyclists, with more years collective cycle industry experience than we would like to admit. Using this experience we work tirelessly developing bicycles that ultimately offer the best possible riding experience – whether that be for the weekend enthusiast or competitive cyclist.

Being a Derbyshire based company we have a fantastic testing ground right on our doorstep. This real world testing provides us with crucial developmental information so that we know our bikes do what we claim long before they make it into the range.

As well as our own test riders we work with and support many UK and International athletes competing at the very highest levels around the world. This input from our riders is invaluable in helping us to refine and improve each model.

Assembling each and every bike here in the UK was and still is one of the core principles of our brand.

We have a dedicated and professional in house team of highly qualified mechanics that have spent many hours servicing and building not only consumer bikes in workshops up and down the country but who have worked in and alongside some of the highest profile race teams on the calendar. This cumulative experience means that we are confident that the bike you purchase gives you the best riding experience from day one.
