Just wanted to say how helpful the staff have been at this store.
I've recently purchased a Whyte 901 & with the help of staff members..Adam..Russ..Paul..& store manager, forget name, I had the bike setup with the parts I required.
They installed components from my previous hard tail & reduced gears to a 1 X 10 transmit ion, which is perfect for my riding style.
It's been a great experience chatting with the staff & their knowledge has helped me a great deal in choosing the Whyte 901.

Dear Sir / Madam Letter of Compliment I am writing in relation to your colleague Ian in the Chelmsford station, (arches) branch of Cycles UK. What a100% top guy he is. If you have a system for recognising or rewarding staff – then he should be a 100% dead cert for that award !
For me, my ride to work is the absolute highlight of my day. Some time ago I decided to store my pride and joy, (Specialized Tricross Sport Disc 2014), in the cycles UK arches store at Chelmsford Station. As a result, I see Ian most days, and am able to watch him interacting with customers who are nice, and customers who are difficult, and those in the middle. Ian has a calm and knowledgeable style – never patronising – and appears just as happy helping some fool who’s brakes are not adjusted properly or has forgotten his lock, or talking to a cycling nut about ceramic gears and posh selectors. This versatility and depth of knowledge is rare, and so I thought I’d write you this note.
In the past, I’ve bought plenty of bikes from your stores, including an excellent Trek 29”er which has also covered over 10,000 miles, now, however with this latest bike, I foolishly listened to Specialized who said that for the TriCross, I should buy from them, otherwise any warranty parts would not be OEMs. As a result, I bought the latest bike from them – and annoyingly from day 1 it was never right. After 8 trips to try to fix the problems associated with its poor set up, internal cables constantly rattling, plus a host of other problems, I got fed up, and asked Ian to fix it – and in 1 single go, he set the bike up properly, and it is nicer today than it was even on day 1. As you have your discounting on servicing, I have asked him to service the bike for me – although it is running so well, it can hardly get any better… - and he is also supplying [hopefully] some new ceramic jockey wheels to sharpen up the derailleur, (which I can hardly wait for). So if you have a system to recognise staff who go above and beyond, then Ian in Chelmsford is a great ambassador for you guys, and really deserves a pat on the back – and if anyone deserves a pay rise at this time of year, it is him !!

I bought something from cycles uk for the first time last week. It is also not often that I buy stuff online like clothes because of the hassle you can get if it doesn't fit and grief from the returns process. I'm also wary of how the 'no hassle exchange' on a website banner can be something different in the small print. However, those fears washed away with the customer support advisor (Nigel) at cycles uk. He was great. Yes I did buy something that didn't fit - over £320 worth of castelli clothing in fact, but it was no hassle for them to switch it for larger sizes. Nigel even helped me choose a more appropriate bib short than I had originally selected. The returns process was easy, and I got my replacement gear within 24 hours too. Absolutely recommend this company and would use it again in a heartbeat.

I just wanted to send a quick email to say thank you for the incredible service I've just received at your Orpington branch.
The three members of staff couldn't have been more approachable, genuine and helpful if they tried. They ensured I was 100% happy with my new bike and the whole experience was faultless, a service that is above and beyond what I'd normally expect. I didn't spend hundreds on a bike but I was made to feel that my purchase was as important as any other.
I've never gone out of my way to email (apart from the odd complaint!) but I honestly don't think I've ever been so impressed from start to finish of the whole experience. It's a shame buying a bike isn't a weekly affair as the store was somewhere I'd rush back to.
I shan't bother going anywhere else for anything bike related and I've already recommended CyclesUK to two friends who are looking to buy new bikes.

Today I bought a new bike from yourselves in norwich. The bike is a specialised, we were seen to by Jack in the bike department, he was most helpful, product knowledge was excellent , he offered test rides, set me up on the bike testing machine, gave me a good choice of bikes available, all in all good customer service !!!
