Trek have a heap of new and exciting things for 2019 and we have already seen a number of bikes released, like the new Madone. They have also continued some models from 2018, which you can read about in our Which Models Are Trek Continuing In 2019 guide.

Road

Yes, the new Madone was released earlier this season amongst the Tour De France excitement, but what about us mere mortals?

The new Aluminium Emonda is a well priced, entry level road bike that will please metal lovers everywhere (not the music, sorry). In a smart new purple colour and with Shimano 105, the Emonda ALR 5 ticks a lot of boxes for its price point, and to top it off, it’s available in a disc version.

Mountain

For us here at cycles UK, the real star of the show in the new Trek line up is the new Marlin. Trek have managed to cram a great little build in to an incredible price range, hydraulic disc brakes on a bike that costs £395! It’s a real mountain bike with chunky tyres and a confident frame geometry that is also perfectly suited for daily commuting with it’s rack and kickstand mounts.

The bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike, and it even has separate brake and gear levers which are usually only on higher end bikes.

Electric

One of the more exciting highlights of the 2019 line up is Trek’s progress in to E-bikes. The new Powerflys draw from Trek’s 30 years of experience building truly great mountain bikes and they are set to push the boundaries of your mountain biking experience and take you further than you have ever been before on two wheels.

A combination of Trek’s trail bike technology, like the Mono link adjustable geometry and active braking pivot, with modern E-bike technology like the RIB (Removable Integrated Battery) system and Bosch performance motors make these bikes truly awesome.

Hybrid & Fitness

Hybrid and Fitness bikes our by far our best sellers, and that is simply because they are the surest answer to the question “What kind of bike should I buy?”. Versatility is at the core of Trek’s hybrid bikes, like the FX 3 Women’s Disc. You can choose a frame geometry that is right for you, a standard shape frame or a low step through. Both come with hydraulic disc brakes to handle wet weather and mounts to attach mud guards and a kickstand if needed, and to top it off is a carbon fork that absorbs vibrations for a more comfortable ride.
