UPDATE 4th November

The government have now published a list of ‘Essential Retail’ and bike shops are on the list so we will not be closing for lockdown.

The new Autumn lockdown is due to start on Thursday 5th November. Cycles UK shops will still be open (in some form) and our web operation will continue to operate. If you have already placed an order, or want to place an order it will get fulfilled.

Will the shops be open?

In the Spring lockdown bike shops were classed as an essential retail service and we did not have to close. At the time of writing (Monday 2nd) the government have not yet published a list of what counts as ‘essential retail’ so we are not yet 100% sure if it will be the same this time. However, they have said that non-essential retail can stay open for click and collect orders. So either way you will still be able to get bikes and equipment from our shops.

What about Web Dispatch and Ordering?

Our web operation is continuing as normal. We have already seen order volumes increase over the weekend and with the run up to Christmas we expect to be busy. So if you want a bike get it ordered as early as you can.

We have temporarily closed out Braintree store to focus purely on web dispatch in order to boost our capacity and improve lead times.

We will post updates on the shops once the rules become clearer.
