Diamond Glide
The Diem is built around Orbea’s patented Diamond Glide frame design. This patented design allows the frame to flex vertically, absorbing bumps and giving a smooth ride on rougher streets. Advanced manufacturing techniques allow the use of invisible welds to give the frame a sleek finish. Combined with wide tyres and a carbon fibre for it absorb bumps, giving a controlled ride on rougher streets.
Smart e-bike power
At the heart of this electric bike is a Shimano motor system which us combined with Orbea’s own Secure Battery System. The batteries are built into the downtube which protects them from knocks and theft and also allows Orbea to create better looking, slimmer frames, removing weight and also increasing stiffness. Designing their own batteries, and using the latest cell technology, enables Orbea to fit more power into a smaller, lighter package.
The Shimano motors are designed to provide 4 times the strength of the rider. An array of sensors, measuring every push on the pedals, speed and acceleration mean the motor reacts instantly to your inputs, anticipating what you want and adjusting the power accordingly.
There are 3 models of Diem which comes with different motor and battery combinations:
- Diem 30 – Shimano EP-6 motor and 540wh battery
- Diem 20 – Shimano EP-6 motor and 630wh battery
- Diem 10 – Shimano EP-8 motor and 630wh battery

As well as a choice of battery and motor the different versions of the Diem come with different gearing systems.

Built-in Safety
Every Diem has a built in, high-tech lighting system. The wrap around lights make sure you are always visible, day or night, even from the side. Every time you switch Diem on, the wraparound lights power up in sequence. This is not just for looks; these lights are designed to keep you visible day or night.
The Diem comes with wide, grippy tyres to keep you upright and comfortable on city streets. The tyres have internal reinforcement to protect against punctures, and reflective strips on the sidewalls to make sure you are seen.
You will find reliable, powerful, quality Shimano disc brakes on all Diem models. The integrated Spinblock system prevents the handlebars from rotating too far, making it much easier to load and unload your bike.
Hidden on DIEM is a space to mount an airtag if you want. We won't tell you where, you will have to wait until you receive your bike to find out. You can mount an airtag here, or any compatible tracker.
