Cannondale's New App, here's what you need to know. The top end of each of Cannondale’s 2020 range comes fitted with a wheel sensor for the new Cannondale app. As of September 2020 you'll be able to purchase the sensor and retrospectively fit it to any 2018 or younger bike. Cannondale has worked with Garmin on the wheel sensor. So you know Cannondale want this new technology to be everything you want it to be… so what’s the deal?

The app is available to download on both Android and Apple stores. You can log in using Google, Facebook logins or create a new login. Once downloaded and logged in it takes an impressive 20 seconds to pair with your bike by simply spinning the front wheel. The app has four features Ride, Garage, Resources and Warranty.

Ride

Enables precise ride results for distance, time and Calories for the last 30 rides. Without having to take your phone with you or remembering to press record. The sensor also has Bluetooth and ANT transmission so pairing with your turbo trainer and recording those rides is simple. Interestingly the App will also calculate how your rides have reduced your carbon footprint for each ride for the lifetime of your bike.

Garage

Stores the measurements of your bike fit and service History. The Cannondale app also takes care of your bikes health prompting you when your bike needs servicing based on the miles you’ve covered.

Resources

Has all the specs and manuals for your bike in your language.

Warranty

Allows you to automatically register the warranty on your bike making it the simplest it’s been

From a dealer perspective, there is a dealer version of the app providing the bike fit and bike diagnostics. This means if they grease your saddle you can be assured they will return it to the exact position and expect no variation. It also helps them order parts for your bike essentially streamlining the process. The dealer version does not give any of your route or personal details to the dealer.

To summarise Cannondale has created a pretty holistic app and we think this is the way forward for managing not just your health, but your bikes too!
