Post-Tour De France blues? Welcome the 2019 Specialized Venge Pro! Well now the S-works Venge we have been drooling over on the TV has come home in the form of the new 2019 Specialized Venge Pro, and at £3250 less in two smart new colours, we couldn’t be more excited.
The 2019 Specialized Venge Pro is built around the same frameset as the S-works version, made from FACT 11r carbon and rigorously wind tunnel tested. Specialized has managed to shave 460 grams off of last years ViAs but still keep the ‘Rider-First Engineered’ traits we know and love. The claimed frame weight is 960 grams in a 56.
It’s specced with the new Shimano Ultegra Di2 which has the same functionality and feel as the Dura-Ace groupset, just a bit heavier and won’t break the bank if you have to replace anything. Included in the groupset is the Ultegra chainset, unlike the S-works model which has Specialized’s own power meter cranks. The wheels are Roval CL50 carbon clinchers and the cockpit it is made up of S-works Venge parts.
The two new colours are a sleek and understated black with a dazzling oil shimmer logo and a deep purple which both compliment the aero tubing and deep-section wheels.
The Specialized Venge Pro retails at £6250 and is available in black imminently, and purple later this year.
