Bontrager make a huge range of clothing for road cyclists, mountain bikers and people who just like riding bikes. We like their range for a couple of reasons. First and foremost the Bontrager clothing is well made and sensibly prices. Bontrager have also integrated their clothing with the rest of their kit. So you can buy Bontrager Circuit shorts, gloves, jersey, jacket, helmets and shoes all in matching or complimentary colours. The same goes for their Rhythm, Velocis and Solstice ranges so you can mix and match between them as well.
Another big plus point with the Bontrager clothing range is the sizing. A lot of cycle clothing comes up very small. Italian clothing brands are notorious for this with riders who would normally be a size large when buying a t-shirt having to buy an XXL size jersey. Bontrager’s clothing fits much more like standard high street clothing. So if you are normally a medium when you buy t-shirts a medium Bontrager jersey will fit you.

Solstice shorts start from £39.99 and the jerseys from £34.99 and come in a choice of colours. The Solstice jerseys use a semi-fitted cut and can be used for all types of cycling from road to mountain biking and commuting.
Bontrager Vella – Entry Level Women’s Cycling Gear
Vella is Bontrager’s entry level range of women’s clothing. They price point is generally about £5 or £10 higher than the Solstice range and they have a more fitted look. A lot of the Vella clothing is designed to work well in the spin studio, or turbo trainer, as well as outside on your bike. The Vella range includes tank tops and more casual looking jerseys as well as standard cycling gear.
Bontrager Circuit and Anara – Performance Road Cycling Gear
The Bontrager Circuit range covers both men’s and women’s clothing and includes jackets, gloves, jerseys and shorts. Circuit Jerseys and shorts start from £59.99. The Circuit range is intended for road cycling and has more of a performance focus than the Vella or Solstice ranges. This means closer fitting jerseys and shorts that provide compression to support tired muscles. If you are looking for road focussed performance gear you can wear all day then the Circuit range is a great choice. Slightly confusingly Bontrager also have the Anara range which sits alongside the Circuit clothing as a female only road clothing range. The Bontrager Anara range offers extra colour choices at the same price point.

The Bontrager Velocis (men’s) and Meraj (women’s) clothing is their top of the line luxury road cycling gear. The Velocis and Meraj clothing includes shorts, jerseys, jackets and gloves. Jerseys start from around £79.99 and shorts from £99.99. Bontrager use their best fabrics on the Velocis and Meraj ranges and use their top of the line Arca inForm Bidynamic chamois pads on the shorts. Velocis and Meraj clothing is designed for road cyclists doing big all day rides who want the best, and most comfortable, clothing possible to support their efforts.
Bontrager Evoke – Entry level mountain bike equipment
The Evoke range includes men’s and women’s mountain bike jerseys, shorts and gloves. Although made from technical fabrics the jerseys look, and fit, like t-shirts and the shorts are designed to work off the bike as well as on with removable padded liners. The Evoke jerseys start from £29.99 and the shorts from £79.99. Although designed for mountain biking the Bontrager Evoke gear also works great for commuting and touring.
Bontrager Rhythm – Performance mountain bike equipment
The Bontrager Rhythm range includes men’s and women’s mountain bike gear. The Rhythm range is aimed at more serious trail riders and the shorts and jerseys are cut to allow pads to fit underneath and to sit comfortably with hydration packs. Rhythm shorts come as an outer only so you need to either pair them with the Bontrager Troslo liner shorts, or with your favourite cycling shorts.
