The 2023 Trek Dual Sport 2 Equipped Stagger Gen 4 Hybrid Bike is a comfortable, go-anywhere hybrid bike that's efficient on the road and stable on rougher terrain. The suspension fork and wide, grippy tyres smooth out your ride, and disc brakes give you impressive stopping power. Plus, this model comes with mudguards, a rear rack and lights so you can commute, grab groceries and more, right from the start.

The Dual Sport 2 is built around a lightweight aluminium frame with unisex stagger geometry for easier mounting and dismounting, especially when riding with loaded panniers. The suspension fork, with a lockout, smooths out bumps but can also be turned off for greater efficiency on smoother road sections. Combined with fast-rolling Bontrager all-terrain tyres for extra traction, the Dual Sport can handle light trails such as canal towpaths, forest tracks and old railway lines with ease.

The Dual Sport 2 has a reliable Shimano 2x9 drivetrain with a wide range of gearing, a dynamo front hub that powers the lights, wide, hydraulic disc brakes, ergonomic grips, mudguards, an MIK-compatible rear rack, lights and a kickstand.

This bike is perfect for

Why buy a hybrid bike?

Hybrids are the bikes that most people should have. If you want a bike for commuting, going to the shops, getting fit or just for getting around a hybrid is generally the best choice. They combine the speed of a road racing bike with the confident handling of a mountain bike to give you the best of both worlds.

Where are you going to ride?

The first point to think about when picking a hybrid is the kind of surfaces you will be riding on. There are two main flavours of hybrid bike. Some, like the Trek FX, Specialized Sirrus and Cannondale Quick are mainly intended for use on the road. They have bigger gears and skinnier tyres so that they are fast on tarmac. Other bikes like the Trek Dual Sport, Specialized Sirrus X or Cannondale Quick CX are designed to be used on a mixture of surfaces including tracks and gravel paths. They have bigger, grippier tyres and often come with easier gears and some suspension to soak up bumps.
