Cycles UK is running a road demo day at the Redbridge Cycling Centre in Ilford on Sunday 26th November. The Redbridge Centre (also known as Hog Hill) has a closed road circuit that is used for a popular race series as well as mountain bike, BMX and cyclocross tracks.
We will have a selection of the latest road, gravel and adventure bikes available to test from Whyte, Marin, Cannondale, GT and Raleigh. We will also have some of the latest electric assisted bikes to test so you can have a go at motor doping. As well as the bikes we will have representatives from some of the brands available on the day to talk you through the bikes and make sure they are setup just right for your ride.
If you are in the market for a new bike, or simply want to get a feel for road disc brakes or the differences between road, adventure, gravel and cross bikes our demo day is a great opportunity. Being able to test different bikes back to back around the same circuit really shows up the differences in handling and geometry.
If you are interested in testing a particular bike give our Romford store a call on 01708 743100 or email them at Romford@cyclesuk.com and they will be able to check availability for you. Otherwise you can turn up on the day and take your pick from the range of demo bikes available.
What do you need to bring?
There is a charge of £10 to get into the Redbridge Cycling Centre. However, once you are in it is free to demo any of our bikes. As well as your £10 you will need to bring the following with you:
Photo ID – ideally a driving license or passport. We will take this from you while you ride and hand it back to you when you return the bike.
Helmet – no helmet no ride. No exceptions.
Pedals – we will have some flat pedals available to use on the bikes but if you normally use clip-in pedals then it is best to bring your own. We will fit them to the bikes for you.
The demo day will be running from 9am to 4pm on Sunday 26th November.
