The new 2018 range of Specialized Cycle helmets has just been released and they are now on our website. The 2018 Specialized helmet range includes updates to some old favourites along with a few brand new models.
Arguably the star of the 2018 Specialized helmet line-up is the S-Works Dissident which Specialized claim is the “lightest, most ventilated and technically advanced carbon fibre full face MTB helmet available”. The Dissident is available in a stealthy raw carbon finish or in the colour below which they are calling gloss dynamite panther.
For those doing more trail riding than downhill the Specialized Ambush offers extended protection with great fit and ventilation provided by Specialized’s own Mindset 360 fit system and 4th Dimension Cooling System. The 2018 Specialized Ambush is available in the same Matte Acid Panther as the Dissident as well as some more understated colours. One of our favourite options is this Matte Acid Mint Fractal version.
On the road side popular helmets including the Prevail and the Echelon get some design updates and some new colours, including the Echelon III in a colour Specialized are calling Matte Acid Mint Fade.
For those who want something a little more minimalist the Specialized Airnet continues to be one of the simplest looking helmets around. The white version gives a particularly clean and simple look but underneath the Airnet is packed with the latest features to give amazing fit and ventilation. This includes the Specialized 4th Dimension cooling system with added features such as drirelease® Merino wool pads to manage sweat and temperature.
The Specialized women’s helmet range has also had some colour updates. While there are some pink and pastel colours amongst the Specialized women’s helmets they are also plenty of neutral colours including the Airnet in light grey and indigo which is one of the nicest helmets in the range.
One of the nice things about the Specialized helmet range is that they do cater for pretty much any cyclist. The Specialized Chamonix continues to be a super popular unisex helmet fits just about everyone. While for the 2018 helmet range Specialized have updated the popular children’s Shuffle helmets to include an LED in the back of the helmet. This is to improve visibility for kids riding at night and during the day, something that is especially important as the days get shorter.
The 2018 Specialized helmet range is available to purchase on our website now and is starting to filter into our shops now. If your local Cycles UK store does not have the colour you want they can order it in for you or you can use the click and collect function on our website.
